December 2008 Events

The First Presbyterian Church of Springfield offers the following programs for the month of December. There's something for everyone, and we hope you will join us!
December 10 - Advent Bible Study @ 10:30am and 7:00pm
December 12 - Parents' Night Out and Santa's Workshop
RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED by Noon, 12/11/08:973-379-4320
Parents bring their children from 5:30pm to 9pm for Pizza
dinner(5:30-6:15), movies and fun activities, supervised by certified
teachers. Children of grade-school age may participate in the
Santa's Helpers Workshop in the same building, which begins at
6:30pm. There, they will make several crafts suitable for holiday
giving. Juice and snacks will be provided during the evening.
Pick up time is no later than 9pm.
December 14 - Special Holiday Bell Ringing during the 10:15am Worship Service. After the service, there will be a Christmas Concert and lunch featuring the Somerset Brass Quintet. Reservations are needed for lunch which begins at 11:30am. 973-379-4320
December 21 - "Christmas Sunday" This 10:15am service features "Lessons and Carols" with the help of our Scholarship recipients. This special Sunday Worship Service includes the beautiful Poinsettia display which fills the front of the Sanctuary.
December 24 - 5:00pm Christmas Eve Communion Worship Service featuring a children's Christmas Pageant. A perfect service for young and not so young!
11:00pm Christmas Eve Candlelight Service with Communion
A beautiful way to celebrate the birth of our Lord, Jesus!
