LENTEN SERMON SERIES
During our Sunday worship services in Lent, Pastor Vicky will be preaching on the topic “Respectable Sins: Confronting the Sins We Tolerate.” Some people think that Christians have become so preoccupied with the major sins of our society, that we have lost sight of our need to deal with our own more subtle sins. We’re all aware of the “larger” sins – the ones we find in the Ten Commandments, such as stealing, murder, and adultery. But what about the sins that we tend to tolerate in ourselves, such as jealousy, anger, pride, unthankfulness, and judgmentalism? Pastor’s sermons will speak to those “respectable sins” in her series and offer a message of hope in the profound mercy of the gospel and the grace of God as the means to overcome our subtle sins. The series begins February 21st, the first Sunday of Lent, until Palm Sunday, March 28th. We hope you’ll join us each Sunday for Worship at 10:15am, followed by a coffee hour. |
