Engaging Disciples through Mission, Membership and Participation
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations." (Matthew 28:19a) Mission and Service
Reformed theologian Emil Brunner once said that, “The church exists by mission as fire exists by burning.” We believe this to be true. The Body of Christ is called to be a missional body, giving of itself in sacrificial ways to serve all those whom Christ loves—in and beyond the Springfield community. We provide financial support to many PC(USA) mission projects, as well as non-profit agencies, community service groups and local church-sponsored missions. We give of our time to agencies in need of volunteers, such as the Community Food Bank. We provide scholarships to active communicant members of the church going off to college and to some graduating high school seniors residing in Springfield. And, as we work side by side with other servants of the Lord, we grow in faith, hope, love and joy. There is always room for those with a missional spirit! Membership
All are welcome here. The membership of our faith community reflects a wide variety of ages, ethnicities and cultures. Questions about membership can be directed to our pastor. |

Talent
Talents of every kind are welcomed and well-utilized. Whether its music, prose, crafting, woodworking, fabric art, cooking or other, we are moved to share our talents in meaningful ways to engage those who come seeking Christ and who yearn to know the God who loves them. |
Time
We give of our time because we love Christ and we trust that, by the Holy Spirit, we can work together to make a real difference in the community, transforming lives--including our own--and offering peace, welcome and space for all to meet, worship and share. |
Treasure
We give of our treasure because God gives us life in all its goodness and gives us hope for a new life. We are generous in our response of thanksgiving. |
