SermonsWith Jesus Christ as our guide and comfort in a time of great anxiety, we can trust that "Where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them." (Matthew 18:20)
Through the sharing of the sacred Word, we hope you will experience the love of Christ and the embrace of Christian fellowship even as you practice safe social distancing from home. Please give care to your neighbors at this time, especially those who may have difficulty securing food, prescriptions and other necessities of life, remembering that our Lord has assured us, "whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." (Matthew 25:40) And let us all remember to pray for one another and for the healing of the world: Dear Lord, who knows us better than we know ourselves, help us to find patience during this anxious time. Lift up our hearts. Pour your Spirit of wisdom and grace upon us. Be with all those who are affected by the covid-19 virus throughout the world. Bring us healing, Lord. Bring us peace. Help us to know that you are near us, and always will be. We know that our time is not your time and that this crisis won't conclude quickly just because it's inconvenient and we want it to end. Let us trust in your power to make us well, Lord. And help us to use this experience as an opportunity for unity rather than a cause for division. In the name of Christ, I pray. Amen. |
